Tonight at Book Group we discussed 'God On Mute'. I failed miserably and didn't complete the book! But I did like it and will aim to finish it ASAP. There is a good mix of examples and stories. Theories from all kinds of people had been looked at and researched. We all agreed that it was simple and to the point. It would be a good recommendation to someone struggling with a major issue. We had a mix of views on the parallels with Gethsemane. The theological debates were touched on, but only really glossed over.
It is a good reference book. There are a lot of of helpful notes, meditations and prayers at the back.
